We had a most enjoyable stay at this motel. The room was very spacious, well-equipped, and exceptionally clean. We loved the cabin-like vibe inside. The location was perfect for exploring the coastal walkway, shops, restaurants, art gallery, and beach. We also appreciated the convenience of having a Countdown supermarket nearby. The allocated parking right outside our door was a bonus.

The motel is located close to a busy road junction, which might result in some noise.

Fantastic place!! We've stayed in loads of motels all over NZ and this has got to be one of the best, not the usual bog standard bed cover and fittings, and lots of little luxuries you usually associate with a hotel. Highly recommended.

stayed here before in New Plymouth, but Lockwood Manor Motel exceeded our expectations this time. Everything was spick and span, from the outside to the inside. Comfy beds, great shower pressure, and a handy location to supermarkets and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Ease of access to the town center, ease of check-in and ability to park right next to the unit, but most of all the unit was large, absolutely spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could need.

We loved our stay in this hotel. The room was spacious, bright and spotlessly clean. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the parking directly outside our door. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to many attractions, shops, and supermarkets. The complimentary bikes allowed us to explore the city easily. The staff was friendly and helpful, making for a lovely experience. Breakfast was outstanding.

The kitchen had everything I needed and I loved the added bonus of bathrobes. The free bike hire was a fantastic addition, allowing me to explore the beautiful coastal cycleway nearby. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent amenities and friendly atmosphere.
